I wrote this the day before grandma passed, she suffered from alzheimers a long time.
It's been a long battle
you have fought it well.
But you're at the end now
we can all tell.

Your family is here,
can you feel our love?
We know the time is near
you're needed up above.

Grandpa is there,
your loving son, too.
They've been waiting a while,
waiting there for you.

Don't worry about us
we will be ok.
The loss will hurt less
with each passing day.

As we come together,
this family of ours,
we will travel memory lane
and talk and laugh for hours.

You see, we have each other
we can lean on today.
So as your time comes,
there's one thing left to say.

You have raised a good family,
your love has been well put.
We know you love us all,
we love you too, Sugarfoot.
