HAPPY THANKSGIVING: an acrostic


How rarely we thank God for what He gave,
And nurtured us so well throughout the year?
Perhaps we take His kindness for granted,
Possibly we think it’s but His duty.

Yet we should never be so ungrateful,
That even once a year we don’t thank Him.
How we stand to lose by being thankful?
After all we owe such a lot to Him.

Not thanking Him for favours obtained is
Known as being ungrateful, too selfish.
So that’s why on thanksgiving, we to our
God, our indebtedness truly express.

In fact every day we should give our thanks,
Very truly and honestly to Him.
In our hearts we should be grateful to Him.
Not for a moment we should forget this.

God, we thank you for all you have given.
