She sat there with streams down her eye He had just told her his farewells
She sat in bed with streams down her eyes,
He had just told her his farewells
She sat there taking in the lies
He sat beside her in the stairwell
And told her it's not the end,
She stood there with tears in her eyes
Nothing on her mind but he
People reached out for her cries
No one would leave her be.
But did he know that it hurt her so?
Did he know what ran through her mind?
She'll only remember how it feels.
To see her by his side
To see her at his heels.
Does he know how much it hurts,
To hear him say he loves her so.?
Did he know each time those words left his lips
She mounted closer to the edge.
The tears filled her eyes more and more each night
As she read those words appear across the screen
"I love her more than anyone"
Her fears built up, and it took him by surprise
When he read the mornings paper
"Girl dead by Sunrise"
