What happens before sleep.
The world slows as I lay myself beside you
Our skin barely touching
Our hearts beating as one
Our eyelids heavy from past desire
Your arms, warm and inviting
Caress my waist pulling me closer
My head lands softly on your chest
Your lips gently part
As I raise my head towards you
Nothing can disturb us
Not the wind howling outside the window
Or the rain beating against the glass
All I hear is the sound of your breath
The beating of your heart
As we drift away
A dream
