A poem about a drug addicted mother whose struggling to raise three teenagers.
Silent tears overtake her.
Raging fears shake her.
Shutting down, losing hope.
Popping pills, her stupid cope.
Slams the door, screams at them.
Will she ever be the same again?

Death and misery destroyed her life.
The overdosage is like a knife.
It kills her like cruel suicide.
She says she's fine, the obvious lie.

Left alone, without a mother.
They know this will be their fate.
They can only hope and pray.
That they won't be too late.
Three teenagers, stuck in a tragic home.
Will they ever be the same again?

Mom's never around, and when she is it's like hell.
Screaming, crying, pills and dying, something too unreal.
People see right through the faces.
Of three innocent children, faithful lives wasted.
Ripped away from the person who hurt them.
The memories will fade, the laughter will dim.

Strange new places.
Strange new faces.
Await the homeless teens.
Yet luxuries cannot fulfill their dreams.
Motherless children, causes tears without delay.
Will their life ever be the same again?
