This talks about desire of companionship and consistencey of Christ. |
Longing For I Love You Our world can be a habitat of horrid homestead, Inhabitants that posses hearts of hate, So many ready to betray, murder, and deceive. I can truly say that I have nothing to hold on to but the hope of my savoir. I am in necessity of encouragement, I have need for a simple “I am proud of you”, Need of an inspiring touch occasionally, And a helping hand out of the pits I continually fall in. But if these aren’t to be of my possession I still preserver, For I have a life to live and a destination waiting for me. O how I long for companionship, Someone to hold and to lean on, Someone I can provide for, And yet they can take care of me, I really want that person who tells me “I love you” But not to just say it, to mean it and show it, I love you John when you make me happy, And when you’re not necessarily at your best conditions. I love you John when you touch me, And when you may not be so close, I long for this person, Who says from their heart “I love you” For could a creator wish for any man to walk alone, I say nay, for when I seek him I will find that person of interest, Someone who presses toward that crown that I push for, Someone who understands love and shuns judgment, For there is but one judge. My jewel will be presented to me if I will stay with my Jesus, I will be placed with a mate. If I be obedient to my lord, And stay along the path of his will, He will give my desires. And I will no longer have to long for I love you. Dedicated |
