Power of the pen (tribute to writers)

Let the world be what it may.  Let it attempt to confine us to the realities of the here and now and drown us in it's mindless facts.  Let it attempt to veil us in a fog of confusion and demand from us single mindedness while we overdose on the mundane. Let it try!, for we will not conform.  We will transcend time and place and we will venture into the realm of fantasy with the brave heart of a soldier.  We will recreate reality in what ever mode or method we choose.  We will dare to lighten the hearts and
load of our audience and place a smile upon their faces, or a thought of intrigue in their minds.  We will dare to challenge their thinking, their very existance....we will do all this for we are writers.
