The One

All of my life…
I’ve been searching for that special person.
Whom would steal my heart,
And cherish every moment we shared together.

All of my life…
I’ve been on a quest for that one person…
One person out of the many  whom walk amongst us
Who would chase the blues away.
The one who would share our lives together,
Share the same hopes,
Dreams,
Tears…

And all of my life…
I’ve searched the earth from top to bottom.
Throwing my heart out to those who pretended they were worthy.
Only to have it returned like a cheap gift.

And there was a time in my life…
When I felt today would never come
When I thought I would never fall for such an infectious smile,
Or get lost in another woman’s eyes…
Until you came.

My dear…
I believe you are the one.
The one my heart has yearned for since I was a little boy…

You have made me the man that stands before you today…
The man who feels blessed to have fallen in your good graces,
Blessed to wake up beside you each morning,
And softly kiss your lips.
