Alone

I am a man amongst many,
Lost within the masses,
We cannot be saved,
From the undeniable fate,
Of all humankind.
It is a fate,
a fate we created ourselves,
and is now out of control,
like many of our lives.
We can only hope,
That there is one among us,
That can rise up,
And make a stand against fate,
And save us all.
For we as a whole
cannot save ourselves.
Tremendous ego's
Preventing any progress,
holding ourselves down,
drowning in a sea
Of our own selfish needs
And our own fear.
So if there is not one,
that can fly above us,
To save us,
Then we are doomed to die,
Alone!
