A Red Sky

A red sky hides
Behind a silhouette
And beckons me to follow
Where I have never been

Now it is I must decide
For this sky recedes
And his red will fade to purple
No longer will he be

So if I find the Lord or not
I shall never know
For even though the sky did beg
I simply did not go

So now I sit within the darkness
Of my own abyss
Lost to the blackened ugliness
Of my last regret
