song i worte |
Your bittersweet tidings push my memories out of hiding. They rush over me like the rain from the storm. I cant stop or drive away, I miss you but I cant stay. Every moment gone, my heart is even more torn. I want to give up and let go, but holding on keeps me alive. The current tries to rip me away. You have no idea how much it takes out of me to tell you to forget me, but maybe you’ll see what I mean today. Theres a storm approaching, one you’d never expect. I cant help but think I can still warn you yet. I don’t think you’ll listen, so you’ll slip and you’ll drown, and you’ll find me crying on the other side of town. The worst part about it is it feels like you already have forgotten, maybe im just a spot on your past. I cant help but think back to things we have done, wishing our days somehow would last. If I went away for a while, would you still care? Would you notice when I left or only when I reappear? You can lie if you want to, make me feel better, but in this moment, you’ve removed all my shelter. Theres a storm approaching, one you’d never expect. I cant help but think I can still warn you yet. I don’t think you’ll listen, so you’ll slip and you’ll drown, and you’ll/ find me crying on the other side of town. And I know you will find your way and I know how much id like to say but time is running out again and I cant even see you my friend. Theres a storm approaching, one you’d never expect. I cant help but think I can still warn you yet. I don’t think you’ll listen, so you’ll slip and you’ll drown, but you won’t find me crying on the other side of town. |
