"The Visit"
My name is Time and now my friend,
I'm visiting with you.
I've caught you at the very end;
your journey's almost through.
You know I came your parents way,
as all of life grows old,
it seems like it was yesterday,
I'm difficult to hold.
I'm like a clock that's ticking,
but never hangs around,
for on and on I'm marching
creeping up without a sound.
Until the end it's everyday,
the blinking of an eye,
you know I've got to come your way,
you have to live to die.
All good things will come to those
who cherish me today,
mortality is in its throes
I'll pass it on my way.
