you said you loved me, i thought it was true
you acted sweet and loving, and i fell for you
you said it wouldn't hurt, and i cried with pain
you said you'd be there, and your a thousand miles away

you said you'd get a job, and you sit on my couch
you said you'd be the man, and your the one cooking lunch
you said everything would change, and i'm still workign double shifts
you said we'd get married, i still don't have the ring

why did you say so many things you didnt mean,
why did you say so many things that weren't true
why did you make me believe you were always going to be there
why did you make me think i was the only one
why was it that when i asked if you love me you always said forever
forever meant fornever and together was away
my love for you isn't over still now till this day
my love for you grows in every single way
even though your now gone and left me with the pain
you also left this baby that has filled my life with sane
