I can feel it
in my blood
a new wave is coming
all the prophets
and story tellers
are running
the aftermath
will be horendous
no lives lost
only structure
fighting the system
fighting for freedom
freedom from it all
freedom from pain
freedom from hurt
freedom from loss
freedom from having
to turn my head
everytime the news is on
seeing how many
innocents have lost their lives
praying for God
to look down upon us
and spare my eyes
from the tragedies
commited by my fellow humans
conciousless cowards
hiding behind the bullet and gun
try as you might
there is no where to hide
no where to run
where the violence hasn't
already begun
200 years America
has been free
establishing a nation
for you and me
so repsect what we have
a true democracy
stop the killing
and violence
I can't take it anymore
little girls shot for drug money
little boys hit by cars
fathers before 20
and mothers who are whores
is this the American dream?
not what I had in mind
no what I wanted to find
looking for the weather
to get better
instead all I see
is death,
robbery,
more wrongs done.
