Twisting turning thoughts
I cannot make to stay,
concerning mystic matters made apparent
as they bake away and scatter.
Making out a trace of distant pitter patter,
mocking me amused
confusing me,
unlocking clues i cannot hope to gather,
hid beneath a cloak and dagger
blocking all the views.
Yonder i can see beyond the wonder for a while,
though i’ll feel the hunger stronger
when the memory has faded grey.
With a somber smile i wonder
whether wonder worth the worry.
As the veil is lifted i’m assured.
