I wrote these this spring.
Verse One:

My daffodil’s just come into bloom
Bright yellow against the grey backdrop
Summer time is finally on it’s way
Soon the rain will stop and the sun will smile

Chorus:

Hello, summer, I can’t wait
You and I got ourselves a date
Smiles and stars in our eyes
I’ll sing untill the sun dies

Verse Two:

Eating ice-creams in the park
Parties and laughing on the beach
The sun’s coming for a month or two
To light up the world and play

Chorus:

Hello, summer, I can’t wait
You and I got ourselves a date
Smiles and stars in our eyes
I’ll sing untill the sun dies

Verse Three:

Going for walks on spring lanes
Staring at the moon at night
That silver face will say goodbye
And the yellow face will say hello

Chorus:

Hello, summer, I can’t wait
You and I got ourselves a date
Smiles and stars in our eyes
I’ll sing untill the sun dies
(x2)
