an attempt at a rhyme scheme while pondering an age old question
Fate can not rest on just two legs
her weight would surely shatter
all elements contained inside yet,
throughout the ages man has not learned
continuing this practice in every breath
every waking moment
placing the weight of fate in such a small space
wondering and stumbling
startled and dazed, looking through our ruined remains
just two legs mankind persists in waiting and watching
fate,teeter then totter
daring to whisper the thought
when she might fall over
and time and time again
despite our best efforts to either
hasten or halt her fall
fate does not tumble.
