Inside the jaws of a dark, wet Thursday
And the blood red light of a waning sun.
The haze of rush hour, the skyline's grey.
At the corner of Ash and Dusk, forgotten.
All around, all alone, a crowd minus one.
Ignorant eyes, not seeing eyes, surround.
A ghost of existence, a glance from none.
The hustle and bustle, naught but a sound.
A rock in a stream, solid yet drowned
In the swells and swirls of the passing night
In their lives not mine, their souls, unbound,
But me, tied heart, head, and soul, now a plight.
But she, like me, life's weary outcast,
And us together, accepted at last.

We were supposed to create a sonnet with no verbs for school, except limited use of -ing -ed; so this was mine. Our prompt was an eye, hence the name. Please Review. Thanks!
