A poem about all of those funny little things in life that make no sense, but we do anyway |
Life is kinda funny: You live until you die. When I think of its simplicity I smile and wonder why.... Why do we learn life's lessons Only to lose them in the end? Why must we worry so Over what's around every bend? I want to laugh for every time I wondered what life was about, Because it makes me feel so silly I need to laugh it out. I giggle for every time People die from stress, Because they were stupid enough to let it happen. Who were they trying to impress? It did them no good Now that they're in a coffin. Good job stupid! This happens all too often. Why must we fret Over every little thing When it does no good to worry. What does worry bring? Grey hair and wrinkles, And a roundness about the tum. It makes you look like You drank a keg of rum. Your hair gets wiry, Your skin, dry and rough, You'd think after a while of this One would have had enough. But no. That's what makes life so funny. We run, we fret and worry, Like we're trying to get through life In one big hurry. Slow down, relax and give it time. There's no need to rush it through. If you won't listen to me, Think of what it will do to you! Sure, life isn't fair, But no one said it would be. If you want to live a fuller life, Then stop a second and listen to me: Eat breakfast, drink your juice, And smile every day, Even in times when nothing Seems to be going your way. Laugh out loud when you're sad. It's the best medicine to take. Give hugs, take hugs, and leave joy and love in your wake. To feel the full effect May take a little time. But in the end it's worth it, That feeling, so sublime. Life is kinda funny: You live until you die. It's better to make the best of it, Instead of wondering why. ~The Fallen~ |
