Ignorance

A prison for her thoughts
trapped inside her head
a place so inhumane
you'd rather be dead

Her delicate mouth and
hair that shapes her face
barbed wire round her head
wrapped around like lace

A once beautiful chest
once draped with pearls
now in cuts and bruises
not fit for little girls

Her once dream to grow up
become a mother, to care and nurture
went down the drain long ago
along with her virtue

Can't you hear her scream?
die a little more inside each night
why dont you help her?
to guide her to the light

All she wants is to die
please relieve her of this pain
every other problem is pushed away
so our lives can live on the same
