This poem represents the affect being heartbroken has had on my life.
Heartbroken
How many?
So many,
Too many times.
Pieced back together
Only to find...
Missing pieces.
No doubt left behind
In the palm of someone's hand,
In some hotel in another town,
In someone's truck down some dark road, or
Crushed into the ground beneath someone's foot.
To scared to go back and retrieve them.
To scared to go on without them.
