That longing feeling you have to be home again, missing the routine of life.
I'm coming home
Darling
I'll be there soon
It's an ache inside me
To see
The snow on trees
And bushes
Walking up to the door
Turning the cold handle
And finding home again
I can't wait until
I'm with you
To live as one again
I'm never leaving
Never
I can't stand the distance
And anxious calls again
Lay beside me
When I come in
Late once I've unpacked
I've been so cold
On this lonely flight
Your warmth is all
That can save me
When the stars
Turn into snowflakes
That fall on my fingers
When I come home
Darling
Be there to hold my hand
The well worn stairs
The dusty rug
Tomorrow I'll fix those shelves
When I get home again
The road gets longer
And progressively more empty
The closer I get
To your comfort and embrace
The more my vision
And time seem to sway
Black on black
The trees and velvet sky
I'm seeing you sparkle
Darling
From far away
When I hear that gravel pounding
Take that last familiar turn
It's one left past the curb
To our driveway
Darling
And I know I'm home
Again
