Poem about a mistake I would never make.
Through grinding teeth I cry.
I scream into the dead ears of my fallen lover.
My failure is on display for all to judge.
Desperation drains from my pores.
My ribs crack apart as lungs fill with tainted air.
What crime was done to deserve such punishment?
One unforgivable act has led to Armageddon.
I accept my charge.
Her memory fades into regret.
How can I undo what cannot be undone?
How could I have done what I could never do?
How could I lose what I never deserved?
