When I Am Gone

Someday
I will look back
and wonder where you went.

Where rests your snore
and sleepy bones?
Where do you call home?

Do you see me in the papers
or speaking on t.v.?

Do you feel me next to you at night
watching while you sleep?

Can you smell my lotion in the air
or see the candles dance the walls?
Or the cat asleep
in your lap
purring
picking with his claws?

Or are you working everyday
going home to your lovely wife?
Do you even wonder where i went
with my cluttered, scribbled life?
