Poetry about love and loss, heartache and being alone.
Alone

I stand here chilled
By a cold hard stare
By the midnight glare
A reflection of solitude

I am here
And nobody can see
What has happened to me
The wind blows cold
The air begins to cease
I am growing old
Soon i will be deceased

And still I am
Without a doubt
utterly, tragically
Alone
By myself
Without a soul
With every last breath
My soul is growing old and dying
Dying from all the pain
From all the sadness
From all the fear
The fear of solitude

I've hoped and I've prayed
Yet this day has come
Waiting, Watching
For someone to connect to
Yet here i sit
Alone

Questions I could ask
But answered not
It was happiness I sought
But misery and Loneliness
In the cold hard world
Separates my body and soul
The longing to be touched
The yearning to feel loved
It all makes me crazy

A reflection of solitude
By the midnight glare
Of the cold hard stare
I stand here
Completely,
and utterly
Alone
