A Sequel to Confessions of a Brother, If you've read C of a B you'll have to read this.
(Update) I noticed some typos so I fixed them up. Sorry about that!

This the sequel to Confessions of a brother, I wrote it on a spurr of the moment in just a couple of hours. (Mostly cause I was watching TV and writing at the same time and my Laptop's battery died on me too.) I Figured it would be "interesting" to see what would happen "If by some strange twist of fate" Inuyasha and the others came across Sesshomaru's confession from C of a B.

Of course I couldn't say that Inuyasha was totally clueless as to who wrote the letter since, to him at least, there would be one obvious sign, Sesshy's scent on the letter! Well I found a way to handle that, besides, Inu wouldn't really believe that Sesshy wrote the letter... Or would he? Well enough blabber, enjoy the sequel to "Confessions of a Brother", "An Interesting Letter" and if you have anything to say then go ahead and review it, I'd like to hear some opinions.

Sincerly,
TigerFan.

P.S. Sorry to anyone waiting on Secret Past, I'll finish it one of these days! (I think.)

An Interesting Letter

He finished his confession and as he placed it on the ground beside him the breeze picked up and blew it away. He reached for it, but it flew out of his reach and soon out of sight. “It wasn’t important anyway.” He said to himself as he settled into sleep for the night.

Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo had stopped in a quiet little village nestled at the foot of a cliff for the night. The next morning while the others were finishing their breakfast Shippo came running into the little house where they had stayed with a piece of paper in his hand.

“Hey Kagome! Look what I found outside!” The little Kitsune said excitedly. “What is it Shippo?” Kagome asked. “I found a paper outside and it looks like it has crayon markings on it!” Shippo said handing Kagome the paper. “Hmm, Crayon markings? Did you read it carefully Shippo, are you sure it’s crayon?” Miroku asked. “Well, I didn’t really read much of it, but it looks like crayon.” Shippo said.

Sango and Kagome looked at the letter. “It looks like a confession.” Sango said. “Yeah, it does, we probably shouldn’t read it. it does look like it was written in crayon though.” Kagome said. “Well what does it say? If we read it we might find out whose it is and if it’s important or not.” Miroku said. “What’s the big deal? It’s just a stupid paper.” Inuyasha griped. Kagome ignored Inuyasha and decided to read the letter aloud.

******************************************************************************

I know what you must think of me, selfish, cold, uncaring and with a heart of stone. I’m sure you think that I think of you as a disgrace, a thorn in my side or a bane to my existence, but do you ever wonder if it’s true? If maybe I don’t think of you that way? I know I’ve given you no reason think I care and every reason to hate me but do you really think it’s true? That I don’t love you the way a brother should? Though I wouldn’t say it to you or to anyone really, I do care.

My heart is not made of stone as I would have so many believe. In fact, it’s as fragile as your own, and just as easily broken and bruised. I know I have no right to say these things to you after everything I’ve done to hurt you, break you and beat you down, but as I sit here, pouring my feelings out in an attempt to clear my conscience, I realize that I deeply regret all those things I’ve done and wish I could apologize, but I know that you wouldn’t listen so I won’t. Not to your face but with these words I write, though you probably won’t read this.

If by some strange twist of fate you find this and read it, know that I mean every word of it, and that even though I’ve said and done the very opposite, I do care about you and no matter how many times I’ve said I’d kill you, I could never do that, the truth is you’re my brother and thought I don‘t show it I care about you. I know I’ve no right to try and sound like a caring older brother after everything I’ve said and done before and will likely say and do in the future but this is the truth, the honest truth. My letter, my confession, is finished now. I won’t say it out loud but I will say it with these words, I’m truly sorry for everything, if I could take it all back I would.

I love you my dear little brother.
Know that it’s true, even if I never say it out loud.

“Wow.” Sango said. “Sounds like the guy was a real jerk to his brother and feels bad about it.” Shippo said. “Yes, it sounds as though he deeply wants to apologize but believes he can’t.” Miroku said. “That’s so sad, I feel sorry for the guy. I mean, obviously he‘s done some really despicable things but if he‘s genuinely sorry and wants to make amends then I hope he can.” Kagome said.

“Heh, Sounds like a certain jerk I know but there’s no way he’d EVER apologize to me. He could care less about me, all he cares about is my sword and his ego.” Inuyasha remarked. “Wouldn’t it be interesting if Sesshomaru did try to apologize somehow, I mean look at this guy, he’s done awful things like Sesshomaru did and yet he still wishes to make amends for it. It is possible when you look at it like this.” Miroku said.

“Yeah, except for one thing, Sesshomaru is a demon, and this guy is probably a human. Demons like Sesshomaru don’t apologize for anything, and they could do things like kill their own relatives if given a reason and they wouldn’t even blink.” Inuyasha said grudgingly.

The group debated about the letter for a few more minutes before Inuyasha grabbed and threw it out the window. The others got on to him for but he pointed out that apparently the guy didn’t care if his brother read it or not and for all they knew he already had and apparently either lost it or chucked it himself. They agreed after thinking it over a few moments. Inuyasha then got to his feet. “Come on, we’ve wasted enough time here let’s go find some more Shikon Jewel shards.” Inuyasha said as he got up and walked out the door.

Inuyasha ignored the fact that he could smell what he thought might have been Sesshomaru’s scent on the letter and the fact that he could smell the scent of those ‘crayons’ or whatever they were on that letter too. He refused to believe that Sesshomaru had written that letter. ‘It might have been written in that crayon stuff with some of the paper that Kagome gave to that kid but that doesn’t mean HE wrote it, that kid probably dropped it or something and somebody from the village found it and wrote that stuff on it. Yeah, that’s it. That’s exactly what happened I’ll bet. HE didn’t write it at all, it was some human being all sappy. HE couldn’t have written that, the creep doesn’t even HAVE a heart, let alone a FRAGILE heart!’

“Are you okay Inuyasha?” Kagome asked, breaking Inuyasha’s train of thought. “Um, yeah, I’m fine, I’m just waiting for you guys, you’re so slow.” Inuyasha replied with an annoyed tone. Everyone just ignored him and talked about where the next Jewel shard might be. Inuyasha and his friends left the village and as they walked Inuyasha’s thoughts traveled back to that letter. ‘Could Sesshomaru have really written that letter? Nah, Impossible. Besides, He wouldn’t even know what the heck a crayon is for anyway, he’d probably eat it or something. Dumb dog.’
