A Conversation with the Goddess on Life |
A Conversation with the Goddess I looked to the Goddess and I said Hey Mom what are these thoughts in my head? I see a world of green and white And the occassional dim-lit night What are these things that flow right through? She said: They're gifts from me to you Am I crazy Mom? I then asked. No, She said, You see the Past I Looked again to the Goddess and said Hey Mom what are these thoughts in my head? I see a world consumed by hate With no room for talk or debate The world egulfed in smog and flame Am I the one to blame? My Son, She said, what you see The Present is what is put before thee But Mom, I asked, my tears fell down Am I the one that made this Now? She said: As all my Children went from me Forgot that I was and will be Your Mother, Sister, Priestess, Lover Forgot You did, that all are Brothers The Women too stopped heading my Whisper And like Men, forgot that all Women are Sisters I looked to the Goddess and I said Hey Mom what are these thoughts in my head? I see a world of pain and dread But also one of hope instead Of people ravaged by others' goals But also of people letting forgiveness fill these holes She said: My Son the Future you see And which way it goes I'll not tell thee The reason is this: your Future you make To weep or anguish over or celebrate To see to do or let slide by Or to give daring hope a try These options all are open to you And many more from different views So Mom, I asked Her, looking up in the Night Which of these Paths is right? She answered: Your heart and mind I gave Divine I gave to you My Son, My Love To use or abuse or refuse The choices I give to you |
