The exercise:

The problem-solution poem is a simple concept: you have to think of a problem and express it in a few lines (the first stanza, for instance), then think of a solution and express it to end your poem. Simple, isn't it?

Style and register are up to you! It can be a serious or a funny poem. The solution can be realistic or fanciful.

Rhyme and Reason

There is a problem indeed
that needs to be shared.
How to write a poem is my need
about solving a problem, as if anyone cared. *Wink*

How many stanzas could it be written in?
I feel maybe two, perhaps three.
Solutions through words, sometimes are thin.
They aren’t always clear to me.

Writing a word here, moving it there.
Putting in thoughts and also time.
This task really isn’t too hard to bear
I just wish my poem did not rhyme.

The solution appeared before I got bored.
Inside I knew it  right from the start.
Simply go back to the drawing board
and tear my poem apart.
