A short cute story of a boy and girl who like each other. Everyone sees it but them.
This is a real short story about me, and the guy I like. It's cute, well, to me...and I just wanted to share it and get it
out for you guys to hear. I gave new names to the characters, so if you read this, you'll have no idea who I'm really talking

about.

The kids talked loudly as they filed in and out of classrooms. Joanna walked with Cassidy into Mrs. Johnston's room.
"I can't wait to watch the movie! It sounds really good." Joanna said, smiling.

"Yeah, I know. Hey, look, there's Lucas," Cassidy smiled, "you know he likes you. Admit it! He looks at you all the

time! I can't see why you deny it. Gosh. Just go and make a move, okay Jo?" Jo laughed.

"I don't KNOW he likes me. You guys just THINK he likes me, okay? So yeah, don't think about it. Just leave me alone

for right now. Plus, he deserves better than me. Seriously, you think him and I make a good couple? NO. Exactly!" Jo gave one

last smile, and sat in her desk. She turned around to wave at Bethany.

"Look, its Lucas! You should totally ask him out! You know he likes you." Bethany whispered. Beth sat diagonally

behind Cassidy, and so they kept on laughing and smiling at Lucas and then at Jo.

"Oh, gosh, let it go." Jo laughed. She didn't mind it when her friends teased her, she actually kinda enjoyed it. It

was nice, and most of the time, really funny.

"OMG! He's staring at you! He's staring at you!" Beth whispered, a bit loudly.

"No, he's not." Jo smiled again. She turned and looked straight ahead. Then a tinge of curiosity nudged at her. She

turned to her left, and looked at Lucas. He WAS looking at her. He stuck out his tongue through his teeth, and bobbed his

head back and forth. He always made funny faces at her. He laughed, and she joined in.

"Yeah, just look at them. It's so cute! Jo totally likes him, and Lucas is totally into her! You gotta be blind to

miss it." Beth said, as Cassidy nodded her head.

The class was usually funny, with long off-topic and random conversations, so the kids enjoyed it. Every time

something funny was said, Lucas and Jo would look at each other and laugh. Lucas had this cute thing about him. He'd laugh,

and his eyes would get real small, and he had this ear to ear grin. He would bowed his head, and then cocked it in Jo's

direction. She'd stop laughing, look at him earnestly, and then smile her sweetest. It was like their own code of saying: "I
like you, I like you a lot. So why can't this last forever?"

The bell rang, and the kids slowly left the room. Beth, Jo, and Cassidy headed up the stairs.

"I saw you guys staring at each other. Gosh, I'm jealous, it's so cute!" Beth said. She lightly punched Jo.

"Yeah, you can't keep your eyes off him, huh?" Cassidy laughed, and Jo grinned.

"I told you he was cute. You both already know that I like him, so yeah, I admit it, he's CUTE! I want to tell him,

or find out what he thinks, but, I don't know. I don't want what we have right now to like, go away. The moments we have are

really nice, and I don't want anything to get in the way of them. How does that sound?" Jo, half smiled.

"That's okay, I get it," Beth nodded her head, "see ya Monday!"

"See ya!" Cassidy and Jo both called at the same time. Jo turned around and looked for Lucas. There he was, a couple

paces behind her.

"See ya Lucas." She waved lightly, and smiled the cutest she could. He looked up from his books.

"Bye." Then he smiled, and waved frantically back. Jo and Lucas both laughed, and she waved again, and then headed

back to her locker with Cassidy.

"I saw that. Nice," Cassidy laughed, "you should do that again."

"Maybe I will. I think I will. I like it when he talks to me, it's cute." Jo laughed.

"You like him. AND NOW IT'S OBVIOUS THAT HE LIKES YOU. GO FOR IT GIRL! I mean it! He flirts with you all the time.
I'm so sure that he's not a player, so it must mean that he likes you. And since you like him, it's all gonna fall into

place. Okay?" Jo flung her back pack onto her shoulder.

"You think he does? I still don't know FOR SURE, though..." They walked to the middle of the hall, where there was a

staircase down to the main floor.

"BYE!" Jo turned around to see Lucas, still waving frantically at her. She waved back.

"Now, you believe me?" Cassidy asked.

"Maybe…" The two continued to walk to the end of the hall. There they picked up Jo's little sister, Amy, and headed

downstairs. They skipped down the stairs 2-by-2 and landed, then pushed open the glass doors. There Lucas was, passing right

in front of them, waving in front of a crowd of people.

"SEE YA!" He smiled cutely, and waved one last time.

"Yeah, okay, now I'm just jealous. He LIKES YOU! DUH! Look, he keeps looking back at you. LOOK!" Jo looked ahead of

her, at Lucas, with his red coat. He did keep looking back, and he kept waving. She knew it was true that he liked her, but

she didn't want to get her hopes up too high, and then someday, have her heart broken. No...She was going to wait, until the

moment when he came over and told her himself. That was going to be the day, when her fairytale came true!
