My very first poem
Newfound wings

Links of chain bind my life
keeping me from flying free
Bound by my strife
not fulfilling what I can be
But the links will fall, broken
as I test my newfound wings
A feather floats, my token
to fly free, once again without the broken rings
Only to fulfill things I can be
when not bound by the chain's rings
Dreams once chained like me
fulfilled as I try my newfound wings
