Music That Dies...

The burning flame
the flowering lies
music burst forth

it ebbed and flowed
people painful with their desire to find
this scarce tune.

but when they had found
the person who played
this wonderful sound

that raised above the very sky
and came from the earth
of fresh floral sent
and honeyed breath

it slowed
to a waltz
that smelled of the
salty sea
felt
the tears of a rose
and the utter loneliness
of the dark moon
and it passed

to even a slower pace
that saddened the hearts
and put pain to their chest

with one last
sweet
bitter
floating breath
they felt the kiss
of the spring winds

and at last
their hearts hardened
like the ice of winter

and the music
was dying slowly
and the people
grew sleepy

following the muisc
and never
waking up.
