Poem 48

Walking through mirrors.
Walking through smoke.
What would seem to be just a mirage.
It's reality coming fully into view.

There's always two sides of a glass.
Much like every story known to earth.
In this one singular moment there's no priority such as class.
Here all is equal.

Or, it is something I would like to believe.
It will come. But, all must work together.
Not to willingly con or maliciously deceive.
That's not the way it's meant to be.


But, after all, what is true meaning?
I think it lies in the heart and the spirit.
Meant to be discovered by one's own exploration.
Whether it be in broad view or merely rooted in a subconscious state.

It's there waiting to be brought out.
Waiting to be embraced.
Made a part of the physical being.
A new idea, or new chapter made worth believing.


A truth made for just that one soul.
I speak of it as though I know it.
As though I, myself possess my own.
I'm seeking out to uproot, knowing it's another tool to help me become yet again whole.

My blood never runs cold as it did in a time once before.
No longer interested in keeping score.
More important things have emerged.
So now I surrender myself to a comfortable seclusion.

My own terms I must define.
My own reasons I come to.
For like most of the living and like those belonging to the beyond.
Only within does one discover what's really true.
