people don't understand muslim women. this poem should help |
Muslim women I’m probably more free then you I chose who gets to see my body or hair I chose whom I marry I chose my religion I chose what to believe in or follow I demand respect for who I am Not what I am Or what I wear Or the skin that shows I know when people talk to me It’s for my personality Not my religion When people look at me It because they are seeing me Not looking through me People look at me because I’m real When I turn around I can be sure your not looking at my ass I am who I am Nothing fake, Nor hidden Except my skin and hair So when you look at me, You have no choice but to see, What displayed provided by me. When you speak to me, You will only hear the truth, And modest speech. So I ask for you to not speak, Of which you do not know. Because for one you are not Muslim, So you don’t know my rights as a Muslim woman. So what you say Is false or made up. Or what you say is based on what you think, Not what you know. The information and accusations you make are false. So get the right source, Or look into it. Other wise don’t assume you know my religion For your sources are wrong, Have respect or research better. The choice I make is free I’m not told what to do, Or who to be. |
