An encounter at home with someone she never would have guessed.
I woke the next morning before my alarm went off. I did my normal routines and headed downstairs.
Cas was in the kitchen, back toward me.
I smiled to myself. I then ran and jumped on his back.
" Must you embarrass yourself?" He said with a chuckle.
I leaned forward so I could see his face.
" How am I embarrassing myself?"
" You have a guest." He said, eyes meeting mine.
" Hey Lia." My brother tensed a little.
I jumped down, now my normal emotionless self.
" Don't call me Lia." I said without looking at him.
I could see my brother smiling to himself.
" Amelia, I need to talk to you."
My brother gave me a protective look.
" It's alright. I'll be fine."
" I'll be in my room." He gave a warning glance to my enexpected visitor.
He then leaves the room.
" I should kill you on the spot, but I wouldn't want to make a mess of my own house."
He watched me as I took a seat across the table. I put a hand on my hip knife.
" You won't need that Lia."
" Stop calling me Lia."
He let out a sigh. " Fine, Amelia."
" Why are you at my house?"
" You need to stay away from Nicholas."
" And why should I do that?"
" He's powerful."
" Powerful or not I'm not going to sit back and do nothing. He turned my sister into one of you." I said with disgust.
" One of us."
" Excuse you?" I said standing.
" One of us, Lia."
I brought out my knife and swung it at him. How dare he call me a leech?
He caught my arm, I brought out my other knife.
Within the blink of an eye he had me from behind, holding my arms around my waist.
" Please heed my warning Lia, I don't want to see you hurt again." He whispered in my ear.
He was then gone.
