A poem of pain and love and a broken heart |
| Within my chest there is a pain beyond The reach of my restraint for I have seen The flash, upon the hill next to the pond. I felt that arrow, yet stayed I serene. I stalked that beauty for an age, not sure If I should lie in wait or take my chance And delicately try to win the pure Soul that has such potential to entrance. The growl and howl that signifies the coming Like anger in the sky. Wind ramming against My face, I run in hope to save that living Dream, but the arrow in her heart I sensed. I heard a crack and turned to see a tree Destroyed, a perfect image: love’s tragedy. |
