Where do they all go
Did you know they have a defect guarantee. Apparently if any lightly used cards are defective you can mail those cards plus the ace of spades from the deck to Cincinnati (the home of all unwanted playing cards) and they will mail you new ones o complete your deck. Now i know they want the ace because it has a code at the bottom that must mean something to them about the deck, but what happens next. Yeah they probably burn the defective cards and the spare aces, but what if they didn't
Can you imagine some sort of underground warehouse. The aces are deposited through a slot in the desk of whatever clerk at the bicycle warehouse deals with it last. The card falls or floats (depending on direction dropped and how drafty it is in there) on to this big pile (hundreds of feet tall by now I'm sure) where guys in snow plows keep it neat. When the pile gets uneven it could collapse and crush trucks under its weight. These poor plow men must wonder why they do it rather than burn them, but its been done for decades, there must be a reason right. this they think as they constantly plow to keep the pile structurally sound.
Or maybe In a massive underground (are you seeing a pattern?) cavern someone uses them to built a gigantic house of cards. Why, who knows. To break the world record, Bord em coupled with obsession, Maybe to reach nirvana or heaven. Who cares really. Envision if you will tower of cards using centuries worth of spare aces. It would have fortifications, spires reaching for the sky, a draw bridge, moat, card dragon... the possibilities are endless. Maybe they went eastern and buitlt a card pagoda. Regal in its structure and many roofs
And what if they do burn the cards, but only once a year. Imagine the blaze of gasoline soaked wax and paper. The wax pools to the sides of the ritual ace burning mound to be reused in later card production. The factory workers circle the flame crying before the beauty and destruction of what they had wrought
The possibilities are endless
