I tried my best to convince myself you can’t love someone from afar.
Dreaming isn’t reality and you should just leave things as they are.
You couldn’t make it that easy for me, and then I let you get inside.
Now I’m here wide open, with my heart along for the ride.

You tell me you wish you were here, alone with me.
In my dreams you are always here, you’re all that I see.
Your words take me to a place I have never been before.
I melt to see you flash on the screen, you I sincerely adore.

If happiness is what we share a little light brought to each day.
Is it really so wrong not to let any distance get in the way.
Isn’t a smile all you really need to make your day a little brighter?
Is it okay if I take the time to make your load a little lighter?

We both feel the same, there’s nothing wrong with a friendship that’s so true.
We know the reality is that we both wish that I was holding you.
The reality is we bring each other something we both wish we had.
We share it every day and then the world doesn’t seem so bad.

We don’t really care what anyone else thinks, they don’t even need to know.
We make each other smile and love is what we show.
