The beginning of a new life that is irrevocably tied to death.
The star brought the announcement
animals cried out His birth.
His coming told of great fortune,
great joy to the earth.
Herod heard of this miracle
to him it meant only death.
A saviour born in a manger,
to him it told of great strength.
King Jesus came down to see us
to take away all our pain,
He died again just to save us,
wash away our sinful stain.
As we remember His coming,
may we keep this in mind,
for as our going is upon us,
He has saved mankind.
