A writing about a child wanting her mother's love
I need you to see through me
Because I don’t have words to say.

Speak love into my life I plea,
Because I need love, love me I pray

I want you to see me for what I can be
Please help me and don’t walk away

Do you see tears falling down my face?
This time, are you going to even care?

I feel like the object of your disgrace,
The shame of this is too much to bear.

I only wanted to feel your embrace
To experience your love is my prayer.

Still no love, I don’t understand why.
I only want love in a way that is true.

Please, mommy, please know I do try
I try to love you despite all you do.

Can you still not hear my cry?
I hope you know that I love you.
