I am most alive when I drown.
When he looks at me
he sees right through me
He knows me
like no one has knew me
I'm lost in his eyes
I swim in his pools of brown
So deep & inviting
the power of his waves abound
as they wash over me
when I'm lost in his sea
He may not hold himself
in such high regard
But to find another man like him
would be hard
Because he is one of a kind
A man who listens
can be hard to find
He listens to me*Kiss*
with his heart*Heart* & soul*Star*
Not just half an ear
waiting for his turn to go
He brings me coffee
before the break of dawn
As I'm struggling to wake up
& pull my clothes on
He tells me stories
of his rise*Up* & fall*Down*
The good & bad times
he tells it all
I listen to him
as he listens to me
I am lost in his pools of brown
swimming in his sea
There is nowhere
I would rather be
Because
when I am lost
I am found
I cherish the moments
when I drown.
