a personal poem about feeling lonely because you miss someone so much
The dark night swallows me whole,
Thunder strangles the silence
As the rain wraps around my soul.
I’m scared to death to fall in love
With the rising moon and the taste of blood,
The feel of pain that’s very real,
But my heart beats for the chance of hope
I’d be able to find him again.
It’s very hard to cope
With him gone and out of reach,
But I sit and wait patiently
For him to wrap his arms around me instead.
And here I sit alone in the cold, like any other night,
Hate holds me close and very tight
As I lay my head in my hands
And cry until there’s nothing more of me inside.
