The changes between childhood and teenage years.
Did you ever stop and notice,
How things change as we grow up?
Small problems turn to "real issues,"
It's left me horror-struck.

I remember, as a child,
We'd fret over with whom we played,
Now friends seem insignifigant,
Since childhood cooties have turned to AIDS.

Can you think back to those summer days?
We spent them at the park.
Those times are long gone, though,
Now we'd rather party after dark.

Looking back, I still recall,
My friends waking up Saturday morn,
They wanted to watch those silly cartoons,
Now all they watch is porn.

Boys used to be icky in our eyes,
And they saw us girls as gross,
Now we lay down with anyone,
We'll wait 'til the second date, at most.

Think back to elementary school,
Remember your first kiss?
Those kisses were cute and innocent,
Now we call it "swapping spit."

It really doesn't seem long ago,
And this all just seems like a dream.
Maybe if I try hard enough,
I'll wake up and scream.

...And it will all be okay again.
