I was told, "List five green items and give their background in short form." Here's one.
October 22nd, 2006, I had a dream where I met my inner child.

She introduced herself as Kylie Cassera, a whimsical little girl wearing a laced Victorian gown and a ratty, gray, hoodie over her upper body. Her dark, frosted, hair fell in loose, shoulder-length, columns of curls, crookedly parted from the middle and held back by a silver diadem. She was polite, poised, and silent throughout our first meeting besides a small introduction, and a quiet uttering of, “Please don’t forget me,” before I woke up.

A few nights later we met again.

Our first meeting was in a dark, glassy, void.
This time we stood in a field dominated by stalks of foxglove.
Digitalis is a drooping, bell-like, pink/purple flower that grow in number along a thick green stalk. It’s absolutely beautiful, but extremely poisonous as well...and ironically used for heart medications.

Me and Kylie sat quietly in a small clearing among the foxglove stalks, chatting about my life at the time. She had no trouble pointing out every wrong with a tight expression and innocent ‘tee-hees’ all the while.

After that meeting I became obsessed with digitalis. The summer after that school year I planted some foxglove and watched them bloom. The bells are bright green for a day or so after they emerge.

Simply beautiful.
