STRANGER

STRANGER

Out in the shadows I see
A stranger is looking for me
But I am hid well and way out of sight
I'm shaded by darkness and far from the light
The stranger starts pacing and walking around
I sit in the shadows not making a sound
I suddenly gasp as something touches my leg
It's only a cat as I find to my dismay
The stranger has heard me and walks towards the plants
I crouch even further and hide my face with my hands
As the stranger begins to look through the plants
The cat jumps out and scratches them and I quickly ran
I'm running in darkness though it's hard for me to see
I try to run faster because someone's after me
Out in a clearing I see a large tree
I then start to climb it so I may be free
The stranger looks up at the tree that I climbed
They can not find me because I climbed high
They begin to climb the tree as well
They lose their balance and then they fell
They got back up and tried again
This time scratching both their hands
I sit and I watch as this continues some more
The stranger has bored me so I begin to snore
They finally gave up and then walked away
But I stayed in the tree longer until it was safe
I slowly begin to come down from the tree
I look all around to make sure I'm not seen
I drop from the tree and make my way home
Walking in the shadows out all alone
I'm walking along when I hear something snap
I quickly turn around to see it's the cat
I pick up the feline and continue on home
I smile and giggle for the cat I now own
The cat was my hero he saved me from harm
He is very special my unique little charm
The cat was the one who saved me from danger
So I thought it'd be fit to give him the name *Stranger*
