High School as a Masquerade Ball

Hey, you
You should come
To my masquerade ball
Where no one ever shows their face
A bit of fake is in us all

There’s no need
To be yourself
True colors are discouraged
Or hide me, then stab me in the back
Come join my bloody entourage

So put it on
Grab your mask
Dress once more in those robes
The robes that you’ve kept hidden
The secret soul beneath your clothes

You don’t have
To be truthful
Honorable or kind, and technically
Deceit is around every corner
In every alley is a lie

Hey, you
You should come
To my masquerade festivity
The theme this year is real life
You, you should fit in perfectly
