Learning how to be alone at the difficulty times

You find yourself alone with all the time in hand and no body to talk to.
You no longer need to get up earlier, get dressed, put on make up, and to straggle the traffic and get to work on time.  Your boyfriend and you just decided to give your relationship a break.  You felt sad for a while, then go on seeking for new jobs, you started contact your friends, go on shopping spree....
Three weeks later, the phone stopped ringing, the email stopped coming in, you spent whole day in Pjs, let the dishes set in the sink unwashed, you finding out yourself watch QVC, Opera......you started worry...

Does this sound familiar to you?  Do you ever gone through a transition period of time when you were laid off from work because the company that you work for was facing some financial problem and all of sudden you lost your job without any warning?

Over the years, I've faced this situation more than once.
I want to share some of my story with you helping that by help you to go through this difficult time to help myself along the way to be myself at the ALONE time.  Here are some of my tips.

1.  Be optimistic.
You know you are a hard working, talented, and skilled and experienced professional.  If there were no job in the market for you, then, there would be serious problem with our current economy.  If the current economy climate is healthy, then, there will be companies need people like us, right!? So be optimistic about the situation.

2.  Have a plan in seeking new jobs.
First you need to update your CV.  Contact all your friends whom you've made from your professional fields of previous jobs.  Let them know you are job hunting and ask them to give you a shout if they opportunities arise.  I've find this is the best way to land your next job

Second, post your CV on all the possible job seek website, like Monster, Hot jobs...

Call your friend from time to time, meet for lunch.

Third, actively search through the jobs on the web, newspapers...Indeed.com, usajob.org....

Make sure you put certain time to do that everyday.

3.  Now it's good time to make up for the things that you want to do but no time to do it when you are busy working

Remember that home improvement project you want to do but never got to it?  Now it's the time to get that bathroom painted!
Getting these photos you've taking over the years printed and put in a photo album, Shopping during the work hours when the stores are lest crowded and you have time to fish a great barges
Picking up new hobbies.  The winter is near, now it’s a good time to knit a fuzz scarf, hat...
Taking some much needed golf lessons
Go on a short day trip with your friends....
It's a perfect time to pay back to you.

4.  Re-find yourself again
No body wants to be alone.  Instead of jump into a new relationship, spend some time alone to reflect what's has been going on in your life, in your latest relationship.  Spend some time just be with your friends and family.  Do not feel bad about your breaking up.  The guy may just not the right one for you.  Breaking up may be the best thing happen to you.  Learn from your mistakes and re-discover yourself.

5.  Do not spend all of your time at home alone.
Spend some time at the local library, weather its reading, job seeking.  You can do it all there!  Get out the house, be around others.  Talk to others when you get chance.  Lastly, always smile.  At the end of the day, you realized how lucky you are, you have your health, home, family, friends.....
Remember, "Tomorrow is another day!"
