VERY tacky poem from when i was about 14 |
Life, you are… Life, you are indescribable. Meaningless, twisted, utterly futile. Wracked with senseless pain, hopeless cruelty. Life, you are indescribable. Every day an opportunity, Bursting, bubbling, brimming with joy. * Life, you are varied. Filled with unclimbable peaks, Dark, daunting valleys. Life, you are varied. Filled with exhilarating challenges, Obstacles to overcome. * Life, you are a game. The odds stacked against me. The match is fixed, unwinnable. Life, you are a game. To be played and enjoyed. To push me to the limit, a race to the ultimate finish line. * Life, you are long. Dragged out, interminable. Endless toil through a desert with no visible horizon. Life, you are long. Fruitful, fertile. An opportunity around every corner. * Life, you give me choice. Placing my future in my shaky, tentative hands. A delicate balance, so easily unhinged. Life, you give me choice. You hand to me on a silver platter The chance to make my own destiny. * Life, you are a Van Gough painting. A Starry Night. Gloomy, filled with turmoil. Mere pinpricks of light and hope Life, you are a Van Gough painting. Sunflowers. Ablaze, alight with pure joy and colour. An inspiration. * Life, you are sleepless. Without rest, forever longing for the world to stop spinning And let me catch up. Life, you are sleepless. Forever a party, a celebration. Dancing, dancing, dancing into the night! * Life, you are fragile. Weak, pathetic. So easily lost. Life, you are fragile. Precious, intricate. To be treasured forever. *** |
