what I see and feel when watching the one I love from afar.
silence now broken
the veneer shatters and
shards of
you
scatter on the ground

intricate silhouettes dance
beyond your jaded eyes
while dilapidated reveries
conjure more caged freedom
did you ever find the key?

illuminate expressions of you
yet allude to all confessions
and fabricate soubriquets
elucidate your honest heart
to bask in what's not perished

severed humble chapters
wither in your weathered mind
you cannot
rest here
