Poetry ?

The pen, the paper are my choice.
The words I write become my voice,

Out from my heart onto the page.
My loves, my hopes, my hates, my rage.

My solace when the times are dark,
The hope one day I’ll make my mark,

The sense perhaps that I’ll achieve
The many things I dare believe.

This is what poetry means to me.
It lifts my spirits, sets me free.
