Though I was not born of Native American blood, Group Leader
Cissy Whitewolf admitted to me that I possess a
true NA spirit, and therefore was adopted
into this wonderful group of which I am a proud member.

All my life, I have been blessed to be surrounded by two animal spiritual guides, a white owl and a while wolf.
All the poetry in this folder relates to my deep, undying passion and fervor for all Native American Indians. Though Caucasian, ever since a small child, I have empathized with the plight of the American Indian peoples ~ Trail of Tears, etc. I stand by my motto:
The West Was Never Won ~ It was Stolen by the White Man. Can we ever be forgiven for our ancestors' atrocities to these people? I only pray, for my heart beats a distant, broken drum.

My foster brother was half-Cherokee. These poems are emotional and stand on their own merit, for whatever it is worth. They embellish my passion for a belief that though I was not born of Red Blood, I am a True Sister in the Light of the Great Spirit of these Tribes and for all the bleeding songs that echo inside me, still. This is for them.
